>I think people are just annoyed that the 85 octane in Colorado costs more >than the 87 octane in their home states. ;) With all the price differences throughout the country, they shouldn't get too upset. The best thing to do is to learn why the octane is rated lower in the higher elevations. Having traveled around quite a bit, it seemed to me like a good idea to ask and learn, so I did. Plus, the 85 would work just fine for anyone. <shrug> >You'd also be sorta screwed >there if you had a sports car that needed 93 octane, the highest anyone >seems to sell there is 91. Yea, but only in their mind, as the 91 would serve them just fine at the higher altitude, and when the get back to lower places, just put in 93 again. If this was really a problem, there would have been a major outcry by now, but its just not an issue, except in people's minds. Still, this is a nice place to work it out and learn stuff. :) John
