I can't answer much of this question but can share a little fact about me. I
have 225/70R14's on my '91 Westy. Absolutely no clearance problems but, I do
not have the same size spare so have arranged to "fix flats", on the road by
plugging and pumping up on-site. I carry a spare but it's a 205. Haven't
needed it yet. (knocking on wood)
