Thanks for all the replies I got. Guess I'll go ahead and order a new thermostat and see how that does. Thanks, Darren -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Darren Sent: Saturday, July 20, 2002 9:45 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Cooling Temp My '87 Vanagon seems to be cooling fine, the needle never moving more than a hair above the LED. But it often takes a while to get there. Yesterday I drove 15 minutes in 80+ degree ambient temp and the needle barely got out of the white range. I'm not sure if this is normal or if I need to look at my thermostat or something. Can someone give me an idea of approximately how long it takes to reach normal operating temp. I realize there are a lot of variables involved (ambient temp, driving conditions, etc..). Just looking for an approximation. Thanks, Darren
