Subject:Re: KMH / MPH speedometer face available?

The face plates may interchange on VDO models but not the whole speedos.
2wd Vanagon speedos need 805 or 820 cable revs per mile. Speedos from
Jettas and such are in the 1540-1575 cable revs per mile range. No
workie. In some cases they can be adapted for use in Syncros as these
use 1600 cable revs per mile. Makes the speedo more accurate by the way.

I was wondering if that is common for Canadian market vans, and if anyone has such an item available. I really am only interested in the speedo face only, but will consider the complete speedometer, if necessary. Thanks!
