For those interested, here are some photos detailing the drip plate. Sorry, I do not remember who took them, so I can't give proper credit... ftp://142.166.197.225/incoming/VanagonDripPlate/LidDn.jpg ftp://142.166.197.225/incoming/VanagonDripPlate/LidUp.jpg ftp://142.166.197.225/incoming/VanagonDripPlate/LtHinge.jpg ftp://142.166.197.225/incoming/VanagonDripPlate/RtHinge.jpg ftp://142.166.197.225/incoming/VanagonDripPlate/Propped.jpg alias Fred aka Bleu Schtroumpf -----Original Message----- From: Bill N [mailto:freeholder@STARBAND.NET] Sent: 24 juillet, 2002 02:38 To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Is it possible to "remodel" the stove top? I have this feature on my Westy, which is an '81. Perhaps they removed it on later models, or maybe yours is just missing. Bill ----- Original Message ----- From: "Katherine J. Maas" <Katherine@KJMAAS.COM> My westy is a 1987. Last winter we rented a westy in Hawaii < dont know what year it was < but it had a neat design twist on the stove top which Id love to have on mine. Inside the stove/sink lid is an inner stainless steel panel, which is designed to be lowered over the stove top and used as a dish rack when washing dishes. I assume this was a design innovation in some year after 1987.
