I really like the jumpseats but Larry is right about it being an awkward position for some people and not being as safe in a crash. However, since I have just two kids, I only occasionally carry more and the seats are perfect for the Multivan configuration. I can (and have) hauled a lot of stuff with and without the jumpseats removed. I also love the jumpseat near the window when using the table. Great for eating inside in bad weather or playing a card or board game. They are easy to get in and out and there is so much room inside for camping when they're both out. If I had a lot more kids who might squabble about who gets to sit front and who sits backward or I worried about their safety, it wouldn't work for me. But as it stands, it works for me. Especially today when I (unexpectedly) was asked to give three more kids a ride to Kids day at the Acura Classic. (Women's tennis) They're great in a pinch and the "facing eachother set-up" got kids who didn't know eachother talking quickly. Debra Clark Santee, California clark10006@cox.net
