Hi folks,
Brief update -- I found the proper fitting in a local junkyard.
Thanks to Phil Stanhope for directing me to this junkyard. There were a lot
of vanagons and busses in it, but you need a weedwhacker to get to them. The
fitting, plus a new horn button and a heater lever, was $10. Good deal! I
also picked up a steel engine hatch cover for $20. It cuts the sound down
pretty well, thanks to Mr. Bulley for that tip.
Again, thanks to all who responded so quickly. I'm glad to be a
member of this community. If anyone needs anything, let me know. By the
way, I saw lots of round headlight buckets there......
