found a quick and not too dirty way of mounting my new extinguisher:

a 12" length of PVC pipe (white), 3" ID, 1/8" wall thickness (yes the Halon
unit is slim and tall), screwed with a pair of short SS sheet metal screws
to the forward wall of the stove unit, directly opposite the back of the
driver's seat.

Had to drill screwdriver access hole on "forward side" of pipe. The
extinguisher slips in and out from the top.
