Blake, I was having some richness problems with my '84 when hot weather set in this spring. If the van had been out in the sun all day and air temperature was above 75F, it would barely idle. By chance, I had to buy some cheap gasoline instead of the normal good stuff. Richness problem including the black stuff on the end of the tailpipe went away. John
