I have a flush tee installed on my vanagon but do not use it for actual flushing, only filling and bleeding the system. I found the only effective way to flush is fill (although not necessarly bled); run engine till operating temp is achieved; drain; let cool and repeat until water drains clear, usually about 3-4 times. I fill via the flush/fill tee in the heater hose and drain by pulling on of the radiator hoses connected to it's pipe. Hear is what my setup looks like: http://home.att.net/~zadar72/fillamatic2000.jpg Later.................John On Thu, 1 Aug 2002 14:23:25 -0300, Malcolm Stebbins <Malcolm.Stebbins@MSVU.CA> wrote: >As an honest question: How does The "flush tee" flush the engine when the cold >water closes the thermostat???
