Am installing a permanent VDO voltage guage in my '90 Carat. In my Bug, I was able to fix an electrical problem before it was fatal by noticing voltage fluctuations.... thus saving me a tow charge, so I figure the guage is worth putting in the Vanagon also.
Is there a specific terminal in the vanagon that's best to hook up a permanent volt guage to?
