A quick question:  I'm thinking of switching from 'real' to 'synthetic'
oil in my 1980 air-cooled.  It has about 12000-15000 kms on the engine
since it was re-built.  It has been running 'real' oil since the
rebuild.  Is this a no-brainer?  Is it really just an issue of cost?  Is
synthetic just better and that's all there is to it?
