I'd say you were lucky...and smart to be using a synthetic, which tends to
linger (wet) on metal better than dino oil. If your walk back 3 blocks was to
where the oil started coming out...then you are better off then if your walk
back was to where the oil STOPPED coming out. In the former case, I'd say,
don't worry. In the latter...pay close attention to engine for the next few
weeks.
