Hello folks, I've got an oil leak coming from my oil pressure relief valve plug. I'm a fairly new Westy owner and haven't worked on this part of my van yet, except for changing the oil and putting on a new oil filter. Can anyone tell me if I can just tighten the plug or if I should play it safe and replace the oil pressure valve, spring, seal and plug all at once? I don't want to do any engine damage by overtightening the plug by mistake. 2nd question: My '87 Westy is missing the plate cover for the pushrods - should I be concerned about this? One of the pushrods also has a dent in it where someone shoved a socket in between them to try and loosen the oil drain plug before I got the van. Could this dent cause engine problems? I'm not sure how sensitive the pushrods are... Thanks in advance for any and all help. Thanks, Marla Stelk '87 Van "Morrison" Westy 2.1L DigifantGet more from the Web.
