Did they start with a vacuum on the tank or with air/atmospheric pressure in the tank? After having our tank rebuilt (sandblasted/coated, etc.) the propane co. pulled a vacuum on it for 15 minutes or so to remove air, and any moisture in the system. It took 2.95 gallons to fill the first time. Developing business and guiding change since 1996, G. After filling it to 1.5 gallons, we found propane venting through a little hole in the bottom of the port for filling our tank. My guess is that the auto-stop mechanism was not working correctly. A similar venting has sometimes occurred on our 88. I welcome your thoughts on the cause of the problem, as well as how to prevent it in the future, and how to stop the venting once it begins. Thanks in advance! Lee Kouns 87 & 88 Westys
