Depending on where in MT I suspect...

We liked crossing Idaho on Rt 12 out of Lolo Pass, just south of missoula
(the Lewis and Clark Trail), headed south towards McCall, cross over on
(US30), hit Bend and bended south to Crater Lake area of California. Keep
heading south and you'll find Lakeport.
