I find it quite interesting that BOTH of my Vanagons had their odometer break
around the 220K mileage mark. And so did yours, give or take a few thousand
miles. In my case, it was the plastic simply wearing out so that the pin
holding the cogs just slips right out and doesn't stay in place.
