Hey - got this idea. Camping in the summer in the Westy is too hot - plus, the heat from the engine makes things even hotter. I was thinking of building a little wooden "device" to "plug in" to the space between the hinged license plate and the rear of the body. Something along the lines of a rectangular top with holes and two "V" shaped side pieces which would wedge in between the open license plate and body and would have two 3" or 4" computer fans mounted on the top piece. I'd shove this thing in when I parked and turn it on (long cord and plug for cigarette lighter?)- maybe some sort of timer circuit or something - anyway - idea is to pull the hot air out of the engine compartment rather than letting the heat down there just heat of the car body and bake all the rubber parts in the engine compartment. Thoughts? Comments?
