What are people so worried about? So, if the car fails smog or inspection
for rust or whatever - who cares? Just drive the sucker. Put something that
looks like a current inspection/smog sticker in the windshield and go.
What's the big deal? I drove for over a year with no license and drove an
unregistered car for two years (cops in town knew it was unregistered but
didn't care).

Where's the anti-conformist spirit? I see nothing but sheep. I see
everybody worrying about conforming to what the "govermnet" wants. I don't
care what they want. If the car is unsafe get it off the road, otherwise if
it's not a environmental menace just drive it. Make sure it's insured . . . .
