I've got the Mavica 300? which burns on mini CD.
The cool thing about the Mini CD's is that you have a ready made archive
when you're done. I don't think it takes more battery necessarily, but
it is a little slower to shoot and you are limited to 15 secs of video
because it can only buffer so much before it has to write.
