Hmmmm.................well I managed it. We were camped in Vermont a few Octobers ago and I had just used the BA6 heater to take the morning chill off the inside of the van which necessitates the key in the ignition (for mine anyway). All the doors has been locked for the night. When the van was toasty warm my wife and I got dressed and went outside via the sliding door..............and decided to stroll down to a nearby lake. So we locked the slider and the passenger side As I slammed the passenger door I saw my keys still in the ignition............I had to put a small slit in the poptop (since repaired) to get in through the window in the canvas................if this makes me list idiot for the day..................so be it :-) Cheers, Doug Agreed, I was thinking of posing this riddle as a Friday Question. In my 80 anyway, the only other way would be to leave the windows open enough to lock the door and slip the key through. But anyone doing this deserves to wait for AAA / CAA.
