Suddenly I think you're talking about the level sender in the late-model Westy freshwater tank, not the one in the coolant expansion tank. If so, that's a whole different animal. Those cost I think $50 from Bus Depot and the same or more from whatever Delta Six is calling itself now (they made/make them). If it's not working, it's one of two things: either it got bent and stretched one of the internal wires too much (doesn't take much bend) or it got a drop of water inside, usually through the top which isn't well enough sealed. If it starts with one light when you turn on the panel, then shifts to a different one in a few minutes, it's water inside. One drop is enough. Take a cruise through the archives with my name and some variation on "water level sender" and you'll find a long explanation of how you might (or I might) fix it. Basically, cut it apart, replace the busted reed switch or dry out the circuit board by soaking in 91% isopropyl alcohol or 190-proof ethyl, put it back together and seal the bejasus out of it. And then be real careful with it. Removing it from the tank when tank cleaning is not excessive caution. cheers david >Thanks, >sanford > > >--- David Beierl <dbeierl@attglobal.net> wrote: > > New ones are cheap from Bus Depot and the like, and > > if yours isn't leaking > > you can clean the pins with sandpaper... > > > > david > > > > At 02:41 PM 8/22/2002, sanford schulwolf wrote: > > >Hello, > > > > > >Does anyone of an extra water level probe in their > > >spare parts bend?
