Has anyone suggested using dry ice to freeze the bubblegum, and then
 simply break off the big pieces as they turn brittle?
You might risk loosing some of the upholstry fibers trying this, so be
cautious.

My other idea is to simply remove the seat cover from the seat and take
it to a dry cleaner.
