Hi Listers, well now that i have installed the coolest-(literally)opperating thermo switch/thermostat, as you know i might have created another problem....running oil temperatures. Someone said it is important to get the engine oil up to around 104C Since my water temp guage has been screwy ever since my tiico install, i plan on installing an aftermarket setup.(needle 3/4 to all the way "hot")when my engine is now averaging 185-195F) Is there any way to tap a sensor into the coolant reservior without drilling another hole into the tank? And on the Tiico head facing toward the front of van, IS THIS where the oil temp/pressure idiot light goes to? Perhaps this area can be tapped with yet antother sensor?(ive yet to find an adapter for the oil cooler which is 10mm threads) Thanks for reading this misspelled nonsense. I bet I could avoid all this if I just bought an old Toshiba Laptop and a VAG software/cable permanently installed in the dash whilst i drive around.
