Hi Folks, Quick question. Would anyone know how useful a tow bar like the one in the link below are? http://www.craigslist.org/sfo/pen/bar/5355353.html I have a 1986 Vanagon, which one like this will fit on ... tho I have questions about how well they work. I believe their towing capacity are only 1500 lbs. They look *very* simple to attach: two bolts, two nuts and two washers. Do any vanagon listees have or use a tow bar like this one? I found this one for sale on Craig's list for $60, however there is one almost brand new, at a local bone yard, for $10 bux. It came off an immaculate 1980 Vanagon. I almost bought it just for how cheap it is. I don't even have anything to tow ... but for 10 bux. Is it worth it, just to have the capability to tow? Any opinions? It's it worth having the tow capability, for $10 bux? Is it worth the extra weight? (~ 30 lbs). Would I be foolish to pass this up? Just curious, thanks, dave :) _______________ dave bowers Portland, Oregon 1986 Westy "G2" http://www.dave-bowers.com/vw
