My friend who actually retired from the VW parts business about a year ago
told me about parts place when we went dirt biking the other day. I'm
looking for a new engine deck lid for my 66 split window. he grew up by
parts place and said they might have one, but be careful not to send them
cash. he said they tend to claim they ship stuff--but in reality will do it
when they get around to it.

Anyway--i contacted them through there website to see if they had the deck
lid about a week ago. I'm yet to hear back from them--haha. If only my
friend didnt get out of the business--he used to have a stack of them.
