My son recently ordered a set of the headlight adjusters for his 87 syncro from Camelback VW. I recall the cost for the adjuster assemblies for the low beams was around $3 each! I was surprised that the price was so reasonable. For this price I'd replace the parts with new assemblies. With age the screws tend to corrode and the plastic becomes brittle.
