Hi Roger (and others), Excellent question. I have solved the issue, BTW. I am currently using a 100mm and 80mm fans side by side with the 80mm blowing through the coils and the 100mm blowing 1/2 through the coils and 1/2 over the coils towards the upper coils - just like the factory fan did. They draw 500ma (0.5 Amp) together, about the same or less than the factory fan. Much quieter and more air is being moved. I was wondering how you've made out with your fan upgrades. I just re-read your e-mail and started thinking that maybe that thermal switch is actually heating up a little due to the current that you're pushing through it. How does the power (or current) for the new fans compare to the power needed for the old ones?
