Over time, I find that the electrical contact between the halogen bulb and the lamp housing degrades over time. I've serviced these on a couple of occasions by cleaning all the contact surfaces and usually replacing the bulbs (as the heat generated by the failing contact usually causes the joint between the glass and the metal to come loose). Is anyone else having this problem with the Oettinger/Hella lights? Any solutions? I can imagine that there's some sort of galvanizing action occurring where the two types of metal touch. I've considered trying a coat of that conductive paste that is used between aluminum wire and copper terminals in house wiring. ?? TIA -Blaine
