Kevin, Last June I installed put in a dual VDO oil pressure gauge and I love the piece of mind it provides especially when you are far from home. Here are my pressure numbers on a 1990 Westy 2.1L with 145,000 miles running 20W50 regular oil. At startup: 60 psi After fully hot: 900 rpm = 12 psi 3000 rpm = 35 psi Laurence Smith Hamilton, ON 90 Westy (fanumbos) > -----Original Message----- > From: Vanagon Mailing List > [mailto:vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM]On Behalf > Of kevin obrien > Sent: Thursday, September 19, 2002 11:20 PM > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: Oil Pressure readings on a 2.1L???? > > > Hello all: > > Got my VDO Oil Pressure gauge installed in my 1990 > w/2.1L...can anyone give me the "typical" pressure > readings I should be looking for during operation? > > Thanks! > kevindobrien@yahoo.com > > __________________________________________________ > Do you Yahoo!? > New DSL Internet Access from SBC & Yahoo! > http://sbc.yahoo.com >
