1.25" is very close. 1.25" copper just fits over the stock metal lines.
You can still get the metal lines. Why bother trying to rig something?

Subject: Internal water pipe diameter

Does anyone on THIS list know what the ID of the water lines from
fradiator to engine are?

I want to find stainless pipe to redo the whole lot. At scrapyards
here good used stainless pipe goes for $1.40/lb in US terms.

Think I'll grab enough for the SVX exhaust too. There's enough 1.5",
2" & 2.5" pipe at the local yard to do at least 2 exhausts... but not
enough for cooling lines if it's 1.5" or 1.75", in which case I'll
have to try Christchurch yards.
