well i pulled the speedo apart today to check about the odometer not working.
 all the gears and teeth look great.  here is the problem.  it looks as
though at the end of the shaft for the odometer there used to be a tiny nut
that threaded onto that shaft securing it to the small piece of plastic that
the end of the shaft slips through.  anyway that small nut is gone!  am i
correct in assuming there is a tiny nut that goes there?

any suggestions for a fix?  i guess i should just head to the junkyard and
pull another one apart.
