If you are serious about First Aid in your Vanagon I'd
recommend checking out Adventure Medical Kits. The
company offers a wide variety of kits...depending on
your skills as a First Aid provider.

I've used these kits on climbing and kayaking
expeditions all over the world...they are compact and
are very well thought-out/designed. I carry one of the
Mountain Medic Kits in my Vanagon...it's a
Mini-Emergency Room!  Thankfully I've never had to use
it (yet).
