The diagonal fabric came in brown as well.

The gray came in the plain late style velour, diagonal striped velour, gray
early (checked-style velour), plus the burlap sack looking gray with red and
black flecks in the non-GL vans. I have owned all four preceding types of the
gray jumpseats. There is a 5th version which I saw on a 1990 non-GL van. Same
burlap sack looking material but all gray w/o any flecks of color of any
kind. That makes 5 different grays that I am aware of.
