High octane? Why? Anyhow, I occasionally run tanks of Cheveron 87 through all my vehicles because I think the Techron might help keep the injectors clean. I have never had injector clogging problems and I intend to keep it that way. And yes, even I am not immune to a little advertising hype. Most of the time I get 'City Gas' @ about 10cents a gallon cheaper to keep my beasties running. tim in san jose >From: Gordy Jones <westyutah@YAHOO.COM> >Reply-To: Gordy Jones <westyutah@YAHOO.COM> >To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM >Subject: what's the best kind of gasoline? >Date: Wed, 2 Oct 2002 11:04:48 -0700 > >I have been told that Texaco and Chevron high octane are the best options >for gas for older VWs.
