Would someone with a syncro van be willing to get me a measurement in
the engine bay?
On the tranny, there's a ridge of metal that goes between the two
castings that hold the accelerator cable and the clutch cylinder
bracket. I need to know how far from the top of that to, say, the
bottom of the lip that holds the access hatch seal. I think it's in the
general neighborhood of 9-1/2", but I'm not sure.
