Because it's not an uncommon problem, most FLAPS have self-tapping
replacements, which I'd suggest trying first, rather than heli-coil. jAfter
doing it, I'd suggest running some cheap. light oil through the fill/drain
with the plug out to remove any shavings remaining in the case from the
procedure.
I'm glad you were alert and didn't burn up the motor ;>)
