The vent hose is OK.  I replaced it a couple of months ago due to
excessive rot.

As for the idle stabilizer valve, if I disconnect it with the engine
warm then the idle goes from 2000 to 1000.  Is this my problem?  Like I
said this piece is new, but not the relay behind the taillight.

When it cools down, I'll check again for vacuum leaks and also the
grounds.  Other than the block to chassis strap, where are the other
grounds I need to check?
