There are 4 bolts on top of the housing and the two toward the front of the
van are a little more difficult to get to but other than that, it's a
breeze. Catch the runoff in a bucket put underneath the van. I agree with
your mechanic friend. Changed mine on the '91 Westy I had earlier this year.
