My great-mother-in-law - 85-90 years or age and known by everyone as
Miss Noni - was hard of hearing, but her daughter (my mother-in-law)
said she could hear when she wanted to. My father asked Miss Noni one
day why it was that she did not get a hearing aid. Surely it would help
her to hear.

Miss Noni, a woman of few words, replied "I've heard enough!"
