my right door closest to the right rear tire swings out like a regular
passenger door and therefore clears the wider than stock vanagon rear tires
without any problems. it does seem to be lower to the ground than most
vanagons i've seen. it was also was painted in italy, might explain why the
color does not appear to be stock german vanagon color. it does have a water
cooled boxer engine.
