My van is back on the road tonight with a new o-ring seal of the governor
plate for the automatic transmission.  Peter at Volks Cafe was able to get
me a new o-ring right away and my local Tires Plus store put it in
yesterday along with draining the ATF, putting a new filter in, and filling
it with ATF.  When the o-ring failed it failed at a spot high enough that
the transmission did not drip when the van was in the garage overnight.  I
could have saved myself much grief and cash if I had had a spare o-ring on
hand.
