on the same subject...dealers sometimes install add on sound systems in
packages offered.  a radio in one of these packages will have to be
done by the mfr.  as the dealers dont support them.  dont know if vw
dealers do those kind of add ons though.  dodge/chrysler/jeep and ford
used to offer several through a local sound shop here in denver.
