Hi List, I apologize in advance for bringing up a topic that has been covered fully in the archives, but I don't know what the hell is going on. Last Monday, my Vanagon just wound down and quit while I was driving. I changed the two fuel filters (square and round plastic ones) and it still wouldn't start. I cleaned up the hall sender, it's broken away from the distributor, and taped it back up (advice from the archives.) It started and ran flawlessly until Saturday. I drove it about two miles, parked, then ten minutes later, no start. The starter turns the motor over but nothing else happens. Tach doesn't jump, nothing. It sounds like it's not even getting compression. I cleaned all the electrical connections in the engine bay. The fuel pump buzzes, but I looked at it while my wife turned it over--I have a clear filter on the engine side of the pump, and no fuel is moving through it. Could it be a clogged fuel line, or is the pump just not pumping hard enough? I just don't know. Any suggestions on what to do would be appreciated. thanks, Joe T. _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
