Hi Jeff, Try this link out for solar panel mounts and panels... http://www.rvsolar.com/vanagon.htm I am using the tilt mount kit that costs $20. It works great and makes it easy to remove the panel if you need to. I attached a pic of my install( for Jeff, no server sorry). The panel I used was a Kyocera 80 watt unit. The 60 watt panel i'd like is almost 2 inches thick, and I'd like to have a way to mount it on the roof yet still remove it to get it in the sun, if need be. I'm thinking some aluminum C-channel on each side it could slide into, with some way to keep it in place." Not so sure this qualifies as "bright idea": how about using a Yakima or Thule roof rack tower and appropriate bolt-on foot. Some sort of adaptation would have to happen to integrate the solar eqp. and rack tower, but it would be easily removable, and very secure, even "lockable" while installed. The "footing" could be installed on the inside of the luggage bin (Westy) above the "cockpit", which would keep the permanent application out of sight. my $0.02 Bob Stevens `87 Syncro Westy http://groups.msn.com/BobsPhotoShare _________________________________________________________________ Help STOP SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
