Yes, to clarify, if you have a passenger Vanagon then you would have to do the cutting away of the plastic housing. If you have a Westfalia conversion (pop-top) then there should just be a wooden box around the rear heater core that will easily unbolt and come out. A few of the early Wolfsburg Vanagons with rear seat/bed were like this as well. Sorry for the confusion. That would depend on the model of Vanagon you have. In my camper, you need to remove the two bolts that hold the steel front seat support to the seat frame and four phillips screws that hold the plastic front panel to the floor. The front panel assembly slides forward and comes off exposing the heater housing and the whole underside of the rear seat. The rest of the rear seat stays put. ===== Tim Hannink Goldibox - 1987 Vanagon Camper, Wolfsburg Edition Winter Park, Florida http://home.earthlink.net/~tjhannink/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wolfsburg_campers http://photos.yahoo.com/tjhannink [Vanagon] Album __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
