My wife and I had smelled a hot electrical smell in the van and I never could figure out where it came from. It only lasted about 10 minutes, I never saw any smoke and everything seemed to be working normally. It was around a month later when I shut off my Hella XL's and discovered that the headlights weren't on that I decided to test/replace the headlight relay. When I pulled it to replace it, I smelled the same odor and put 2 and 2 together.
