I'm in need of a ring gear or complete flywheel for my 82 diesel van.
I have already flipped the ring gear once but now that the engine is out
again I'm seeing nasty wear again. I didn't replace my starter gear or even
know if it's available separately. Do rebuilt starters have new gears?
Checked with Camelback VW here in Phoenix and they don't show a separate ring
gear just the complete flywheel for $560$$. Any help appreciated.
