I've noticed that with my '85, if I fail to release the hand brake, I can
back out of the driveway OK, but when I try to go forward I really feel the
brakes dragging.  Before I put new drums and shoes on the back, and adjusted
them properly, the hand brake was quite ineffective.  That's why I drove 35
miles on a highway with them applied.  Oops.  That's why I decided it was
time for new stuff.
