Volks, Recently I made the referenced posting "Verizon Billing Caution" stating I was fighting an unexpected cell bill of over $3,000 for Laptop Internet Data Service, while on the Road ... last two MONTHS. The conclusion .... ALL IS WELL. I had signed up for a $99.00 all you can eat plan (unlimited data connect minutes). Turns out that the sales rep didn't understand that this plan only included Express Network data connection minutes. There are two data connections: > Express Network around 155k > Quick Connect around 14.4k If you connect to Quick Connect, when Express is not available, connection charges of $.69 per minute apply. Thus the over $3,000 bill. Yeah I know ... A lot of minutes. But after being persistent and three levels of billing customer support ... I reached a sensible person that simply said "No Problem ... We will credit your account for the amount in question". Morale ..... Be Polite, Patient & Persistent. Lastly, I'd like to Thank List Member Herb Mooney for offering assistance. Herb is an Wireless Data Systems Engineer with Verizon and was anxious to help resolve the problem. Although the help wasn't needed, it was comforting to have the "Ace in the Hole". Thanks Again Herb. I'm Thankful for such a Great Community.
